On the weekend of 21st - 23rd October 2022 we are meeting again ...at last

Like Brigadoon but only every five years

The prices for the IKWIG weekend is 210 per room per night based on two people sharing  150 per room per night based on single occupancy. This includes Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.

Only a 50 deposit will secure booking

It is essential we depart by 8am otherwise timings will impact the entire day

The latest Caledonian MacBrayne ferry is the 2:15pm from Oban to Craignure if you wish to make afternoon tea. Make sure you have booked and are checked in at least 30 minutes before departure otherwise you could be left on the dock

08:00am Leave for Carsaig Pier

10:30am Talk by Professor Nicolas Maclean of Pennycross CMG: "Clues to the true story behind IKWIG-detective work by a Muileach".

4:00pm Afternoon Tea 

6:00pm Introduction by Professor Robert Beveridge and Professor Nicolas Maclean

7:00pm Dinner at the Western Isles Hotel

9:00pm Panel of Professor Ian Christie plus, hopefully, two surprise Hollywood guests

  3:15pm   Leave Lochbuie for Duart Castle

1:45 pm Isle of Mull ferry departs Craignure for Oban – need to be at Craignure by 1:15pm


5:00 pm Isle of Mull ferry departs Craignure for Oban - need to be at Craignure by 4:30pm


 A fee of 20 per person to be collected for Saturday's Duart visit and reception.
